Storm Totals: November 15th-17th, 2013

By Reginald Stanley. Posted November 17, 2013, 3:21 PM.

A weak upper low brought rain to some parts of the region Friday, interrupting a stretch of drier than normal weather we have been experiencing this Fall. Rain was sporadic once again, with many locations not receiving any measurable rain at all.

Showers were locally heavy in some areas that did get rain. Out of the nine WeatherCurrents stations that recorded rainfall, De Luz recorded the highest total with 0.37", followed by Beaumont (Cherry Valley) with 0.26" where light rain continued all day Friday. 0.23" was recorded in Central Murrieta, near the intersections of California Oaks Road and Monroe Avenue (courtesy of Michael Mojarro).

Other notable totals include 0.16" in Temecula Valley's Wine Country (courtesy of Jim Sappington), 0.14" in both Fallbrook and South Temecula, 0.10" in French Valley, 0.03" in East San Jacinto (courtesy of Monty Parrott) as well as 0.03" in Jurupa Valley and San Bernardino, 0.02" in Anza, and 0.01" in East Hemet. None of the other ten WeatherCurrents stations recorded any measurable rainfall.

Cool weather was expected to continue well into next week, with onshore flow and the marine layer making regular appearances. There may be another chance of rain next weekend.
