Murrieta, Fallbrook, De Luz and Menifee Valley Stations to be Certified

Next week, several WeatherCurrents weather stations will be certified as cooperating stations by the National Weather Service San Diego office. The stations to be certified include Murrieta, Fallbrook, De Luz and Menifee Valley. Soon after certification, WeatherCurrents will begin automatically uploading hour reports to the National Weather Service server for use by their forecasters and systems. WeatherCurrents' Temecula station had been certified earlier this year and hourly reports from it to the National Weather Service began in February. The additional stations will bring the number of reporting stations within the WeatherCurrents network to five. The data from the WeatherCurrents stations will ultimately increase the accuracy and timeliness of forecasts for southwestern Riverside and northern San Diego counties. |
