Fallbrook Experiences First Triple Digit Day of Year

At 100.2°F yesterday afternoon, the mercury in Fallbrook was over the century mark for the first time this year. Two hot days in a row have resulted from the first Santa Ana wind event of the season. 2004 had one triple digit day, on September 5th, 2004. The 101.3°F high temperature from that day remains the highest temperature recorded in the Fallbrook station's short, one and a half year history. Nearby on Wednesday, a fire burned 500 acres on Camp Pendleton, the result of the heat and wind. |
