Bird Poop Causes Low Rainfall Reading

The rain gauge in Fallbrook is apparently clogged with bird poop. This has happened once in the past; cleaning it out and letting the water go through has produced an accurate result, although the timing in the hourly summary will be off. The rain gauge will be cleaned as soon as is practical. We figure Fallbrook's actual rain total for Tuesday at about 1.50", not the 0.20" reported as of this writing on the web site. |
