A series of fast-moving fronts drenched the inland valleys over the weekend, especially Saturday, causing few problems but leaving between a half and two inches of rain.
The first storm entered the region Friday morning, and light rain fell in the morning and evening.
Saturday was characterized by by two fronts with virtually no break between them. Rain was light in the morning, then heavy in the afternoon and evening.
Showers lingered into Sunday and were mostly done by noon.
The week of storms catapulted many communities above normal for the season. Temecula, for instance, was three quarters of an inch above normal-to-date totals on Tuesday (4.13"). Lake Elsinore was more than an inch above its normal-to-date total (2.27").
Murrieta was still a little below normal (4.15"), as was Menifee (2.04"), Hemet (4.14"), Fallbrook (4.37") and De Luz (4.37").
Other WeatherCurrents locations are not old enough yet to calculate season-to-date totals.
