Rain chances and windy conditions are appearing increasingly likely for Southern California towards the end of this week, with precipitation chances peaking on Sunday.

Slightly below average temperatures will continue this week, before a cutoff low pressure system near the Pacific Northwest coast dips south and potentially sends a moisture plume into Southern California or northern Baja California over the weekend. Details remain unclear at the time of this writing, however computer forecast models generally agree on the bulk of the moisture arriving on Sunday - although light showers could begin as early as Friday or Saturday. Precipitation amounts will largely depend on the storm system's trajectory. Details regarding potential wet weather on the evening of Halloween will become clearer in the coming days.
