A mild storm, the second of the fall, left measurable rainfall in nearly all inland communities Saturday morning.
Substantial rainfall was recorded in Lake Elsinore, where 0.33" was recorded. Lake Elsinore also leads in the seasonal totals with 1.08", mostly due to Labor Day weekend thunderstorms.
Fallbrook, which often leads the storm totals, was second with 0.28". Murrieta received 0.19" and WeatherCurrent's Temecula station recorded 0.15". Riverside also came in at 0.15", the Menifee Valley at 0.12", and Perris at 0.10".
The storm contrasted to the September 28th storm, which largely missed the inland communities, leaving small amounts of rainfall in Lake Elsinore, Temecula, De Luz and San Jacinto, and more in Fallbrook. Saturday's storm left at least a tenth of an inch everywhere to the west. Only Hemet and San Jacinto recorded smaller amounts, at 0.02" and 0.03", respectively.
Most of the rain fell between 2am and 9am.
In the days preceding the storm, about a tenth of an inch of rain was predicted.
