Reports of heavy hail and snow were sent to Hemetweather.com today as the valley was surprised by a cold Winter storm. Snow fell in Lambs Canyon and parts of San Jacinto as well as in Eastern Hemet and Valle Vista. Some classes at Valle Vista Elementary School were temporarily allowed onto the playground to witness snow falling for the first time in recent memory. A blanket of hail was also reported during the early morning hours in Eastern Hemet.
