Magnitude 4.4 Earthquake Off Baja California Felt Inland

A Monday morning earthquake offshore of Baja California briefly rattled Southern California. The quake shook buildings at 6:19am. The preliminary magnitude of the quake was 4.8 on the richter scale, and it was 22 miles west of Rosarito. It was later adjusted to 4.4. The USGS has more details on the temblor. |
