A low pressure system from the north brought patches of showers, thunderstorms, and generally unsettled weather to the region Tuesday. Any precipitation was mostly limited to the mountains and foothills.

West of the mountains, conditions alternated between mostly cloudy and almost completely sunny frequently throughout the day Tuesday. As of Tuesday night, WeatherCurrents' station in Anza received the most rain with 0.26 inches recorded there, most of it during the evening. Lake Elsinore recorded 0.09 inches, and while the total is not considered accurate due to a malfunctioning rain gauge there, the total indicates that at least some measurable precipitation did fall there Tuesday. WeatherCurrents's stations in De Luz and East Hemet also recorded smaller totals of 0.02 and 0.01 inches, respectively. According to the National Weather Service, small hail was reported near Julian in San Diego County during the afternoon.
