Two bands of rain are being swept into the region Saturday, one having passed early in the morning with the next scheduled to arrive tonight.
Storm totals from the early morning rain were mostly under 1/4 of an inch. A weak front off the coast of Point Conception was responsible for the activity. Snow levels stayed around roughly 5,000 feet above sea level overnight, and it is possible they could drop to around 4,000 feet late Saturday night. In the WeatherCurrents network, a notable total of 0.67 inches was observed in South Fallbrook, with a steep drop-off to 0.33 inches in Anza. Additionally, 0.21 inches was reported in Temecula Valley Wine Country (courtesy of Jim Sappington).
Less than 1/10 of an inch is predicted overnight Saturday, with locally higher amounts possible in mountain and foothill locations.
