A weak system sent brief showers through Southern California overnight Sunday and Monday, bringing the last rainfall of March and the first rainfall of April.
Totals were light, although the Cherry Valley area of Beaumont managed to record 0.18". Fallbrook was next with 0.13", followed by De Luz (0.12") and the Temecula Valley Wine Country (0.12").
Menifee was the only WeatherCurrents community to not register measurable rainfall. Jurupa Valley, East San Jacinto, and East Murrieta had totals that barely registered (0.01").
Two storms are lined up for the second week of April, which is traditionally drier than March. The first is predicted to yield a quarter to a half of an inch of rain Tuesday night through Wednesday. The second storm, due Thursday night, could bring even larger amounts of rainfall, and could last through Saturday.
