Southern California caught an early glimpse of summer Thursday and Friday, as unseasonably warm temperatures associated with Offshore Flow were responsible for soaring temperatures.
In the WeatherCurrents network, fourteen of the currently eighteen active weather stations reached or exceeded 90 degrees Friday. Menifee and Wildomar both recorded the highest temperatures, 95 degrees. Anza was the coolest, with a high of only 83 degrees Friday. Anza is a location less prone to the heat effects of offshore wind events.
Temperatures were expected to be a few degrees cooler Saturday, but still much warmer than normal for the time of year. Dry and warm weather is expected to continue, with no rain in the forecast. |
