Storm Leaves Region With Little to Show

The first storm of December this year followed a pattern of mostly disappointing storms this fall, with the exception of October 16-18th, yielding little precipitation in western Riverside and northern San Diego counties. Some light rain did fall this morning before dawn, but most rainfall occurred far to the north. Local rainfall totals were highest in the south, with De Luz recording 0.06", Fallbrook 0.05", and Temecula 0.04". Murrieta and Lake Elsinore had lighter rainfall amounts, and rainfall was not heavy enough to be recorded in Sun City and Hemet. No additional storms are likely for at least the next week as dry, clear weather is predicted to take over by Sunday morning. |
