The first full week of February featured three storms that blended into each other at times. The storms left heavy rainfall in the inland valleys, welcome wet weather following a dry January.
Due to scattered showers between storms, we're reporting the totals as one. The storms featured moderate to heavy showers Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, with lighter showers on Sunday.
Total rainfall in the inland valleys varied as it normally does. De Luz led the way among WeatherCurrents stations with 2.90" over the five days, and Perris the least wet at 1.22".
Most communities recorded more than 2", except for the Menifee and Perris areas and some of the San Jacinto Valley to the east.
Another series of potentially strong storms were looming for next weekend and beyond.
