Posted November 5, 2010, 11:46 AM.The now-waning heat wave that began this month included two triple-digit days at WeatherCurrents' Riverside location in Canyon Crest. Riverside recorded high temperatures of 100.2°F and 100.5°F on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. These were the first two November days to reach triple digits at a WeatherCurrents station. Overall, Wednesday was the hottest November day inland in at least a decade. The previous hottest November temperature at a WeatherCurrents station was 96.2°F at Wildomar on November 3, 2009. The triple digit heat was localized, however. Another nearby station in Moreno Valley recorded 92°F and 91°F on the same two days. Hemet was the next closest for the two days at 97°F and 96°F. Menifee's 98°F on Tuesday was the next hottest temperature for Wednesday. |
