Posted November 6, 2010, 5:00 PM.The first of two quick storms was arriving Saturday evening in the inland valleys, with a slightly stronger encore expected Sunday night. The first storm was expected to be good for a few isolated light showers, but moisture was limited. Total rainfall amounts were expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, and most of the precipitation was predicted to be to the north, according to the latest National Weather Service forecasts. Rainfall should end by about midnight. The second storm, arriving late Sunday night, was predicted to be stronger, and should lead to more widespread showers through Monday. Rainfall totals were expected to be 0.15" or less in the inland valleys. November rainfall is, of course, not unusual. Temecula averages 1.24" for the month, Hemet 1.21", Murrieta 1.14", Fallbrook 1.12", Menifee 0.88", and Lake Elsinore 0.74". |
