Posted June 24, 2011, 8:42 PM.Following a week where a few inland communities broke triple digits for the first time this year, the weekend ahead is looking normal for late June. That means some morning low clouds and fog in places like Fallbrook and De Luz, and just brief incursions into the western inland communities. And lots of sunshine, and breezy afternoons. Afternoon temperatures Saturday and Sunday will range from mild in Fallbrook (middle 70's), to warm in Temecula and Murrieta (middle 80's), to the upper 80's in San Bernardino and Riverside, and very warm (the lower 90's) in Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Menifee, Hemet and Beaumont. For cooler weather, the coastal areas will be good places to be, although the marine layer will be lingering longer there. Saturday's predicted highs include 68°F in Newport Beach and 70°F in San Diego. Brief high pressure will raise temperatures a few degrees beginning Monday, then low pressure to the north will bring the heat back down later next week. |
