A cold front passed through the region Saturday morning, resulting in light showers for much of the region. Areas north and west of Los Angeles benefited more greatly from heavier precipitation there.

The brunt of the rainfall fell during the morning hours of Saturday across the region, for roughly two-to-three hours as the front made its passage. Some post-frontal showers popped up throughout the remainder of the day, although these showers were brief in nature and did little to boost rainfall totals. Simi Valley was once again the wettest location in the WeatherCurrents network, where over 1/2 inch of rain was recorded. Most of the rest of the WeatherCurrents stations received under a quarter-inch of precipitation by the end of Saturday. In Temecula Valley's Wine Country, 0.19 inches was reported (courtesy of Jim Sappington). Pinon Hills was the driest location in the WeatherCurrents network where 0.07 inches fell.

More cloudy, unsettled weather returned for Sunday as low pressure near Point Conception sends very light showers over parts of the region, forecast to continue into Monday. Another chance of rain is expected for Wednesday-Thursday as another shortwave trough takes aim at Southern California, however details regarding intensity and timing are uncertain.
