An inside slider-type storm moved through the region late Thursday night and Friday morning, bringing scattered rainfall, thunderstorms and even hail to some locations.
Storm totals ranged from nothing at all in some communities, up to nearly 1/2 of an inch in foothill locations such as East Highland (courtesy of Peter Michas) and 1/3 of an inch in Beaumont. The mountains and foothills received the most rainfall from the storm in general. While none of the WeatherCurrents stations reported very high rainfall amounts, National Weather Service stations in the San Bernardino Mountains reported up to 1 inch or more overnight. The lowest measurable rainfall totals in the WeatherCurrents network were in the Temecula and Menifee valleys, both of which were rain shadowed during the event.
A gradual warm-up is expected through the week of Thanksgiving. No rain is currently in the forecast.
