Totals from the storm ranged from just under an inch (Riverside, 0.93") to a robust 2.24" (Temecula) at the fifteen WeatherCurrents stations in the inland valleys. The Temecula Valley Wine Country came in even higher, at 2.72", according to a report from Jim Sappington.

Most of the rainfall came with two cold fronts, the first passing through the region on Friday night, and the second on Saturday night. The second was not predicted to be as strong as the first, but it ended up being nearly as strong, with thunderstorms and hail part of the mix.

Snowfall was reported down to the 3,000 foot level, dusting the local foothills. On Monday, snow was visible on Agua Tibia, just south of the Temecula Valley and east of Fallbrook. Low elevation snow was also visible on the Santa Ana mountains, running along the western side of the inland valleys.

According to the National Weather Service, there was 11 inches of snow on the ground at Idyllwild at 5200 feet.

Rainfall totals of over two inches were reported in Murrieta (2.12"), De Luz (2.10"), Wildomar (2.04"), Lake Elsinore (2.02").

Every other station except Riverside recorded more than in inch, with significant totals in Beaumont (1.76"), East San Jacinto (1.74"), Fallbrook (1.70"), French Valley (1.47"), and in Hemet and Perris (1.41").

In the storm's wake, cool days and cold nights are predicted, with another shot at rainfall entering next weekend. The intensity and timing of the next storm were still in question.

Rainfall for the month of February remained below average, due to a long dry spell. If next weekend's storm causes about an inch of rainfall, precipitation for the month could recover to average.

The following rainfall totals were recorded Friday through Sunday:

1. Wildomar totals are not complete for October.
2. San Bernardino totals began February 11, 2011.
3. San Jacinto totals are not complete for November.
