March storms have been stingy in recent years, and the first storm of the young month was no exception. Scattered showers fell in the inland valleys, and there were a fair amount of clouds, but rainfall totals were not high.
The highest totals in the inland valleys fell in the south, where Fallbrook got 0.25" and De Luz collected 0.21". Both communities padded rainfall totals in excess of 20" for the season, which began July 1st, 2010.
Everywhere else, totals were less than a tenth of an inch. San Bernardino was next with 0.09", then Temecula and Beaumont with 0.07", followed by Murrieta and French Valley with 0.06".
Menifee, Perris and Moreno Valley had no measurable rainfall for the storm.
Predictions before the storm were for between a tenth and quarter of an inch.
The next potential for rainfall was more than a week away, with mild and mostly sunny weather predicted most days in the meantime.
WeatherCurrents' San Jacinto site was in the middle of a prolonged outage and was not operational during the storm.
