The first storm of a wet spring week dropped up to an inch of rain on Southern California's inland areas, and some on the coast as well.
The storm was particularly strong in the west, over in Simi Valley, where rain began on Tuesday and left 1.06" on the ground.
But the main rain day was Wednesday, where showers were sporadic, heavy in some areas and light in others. Further inland, Beaumont's Cherry Valley had the next highest total (0.57"), followed by Temecula (0.50"), De Luz (0.46"), San Bernardino (0.36"), Hemet (0.30"), and Fallbrook (0.29").
East San Jacinto's Monty Parrott contributed a reading of 0.30", which was in line with the top results.
In the northern part of Temecula (Meadowview area), Robert Grieb reported a particularly heavy 2", via a manual rain gauge.
The lightest totals were in Western Riverside County. Menifee had just 0.06", and Riverside (0.12"), followed by Lake Elsinore (0.13").
One consequence of the storm was a gustnado Wednesday afternoon, that damaged a Hemet mobile home.
The storm was followed by a generally heavier rain event, with lower snow levels, on Friday.
