Lake Elsinore Site Volunteer Still Needed

The current location of the Lake Elsinore weather station, north of the lake, is being sold and the Lake Elsinore weather station will need to be moved. Volunteers are being sought to host the station. The main qualification is a location with always-on internet access, such as a cable modem, DSL, wireless or satellite, capable of transmitting one record a minute to the WeatherCurrents site. Currently we think that the feed from the current site will only be good through the rest of July, although it could be terminated at any time. Several leads to a new location have not turned up anything so far. Lately we've worked with the information manager at the City of Lake Elsinore, so far without success. We'd prefer to place the station at the home of a weather enthusiast if at all possible. |
